Casey Driessen is the type of young musical talent that causes this genre of music to continue to grow and evolve. In this drawing I have chosen to concentrate on his signature rhythmic chopping style that has turned the fiddle into a percussive instrument much like the mandolin. Casey’s style has already influenced the way the instrument is played by other musicians. The title of this piece refers to Casey’s distinctive playing style.
