Usually know for his extremely strong singing voice John Cowan’s bass playing has been influential and important as well. His sixteen years as bassist and vocalist with New Grass Revival helped take the influence of bluegrass into a new form of music, by introducing bluegrass to a completely new audience who wanted to discover for themselves the origins this new sound.
